Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
it's never fun to get scolded or told off by older people, but sometimes it's worse coming from people our own age. still, if constructive correction is given in love, it's good to remember this verse and swallow it in. on the other hand, if a friend just wants to quarrel with you all the time over silly things, that's a different story. another thing i got from the vesre is that if your so called friend is always patting you on the back saying it's okay when you're not doing right, well then he's actually your enemy.
i kinda realized that those faithful wounds only come about when people are close or know each other very well. like, we never confront hi-bye friends about their faults or wrongdoings. so i think it's safe to say, that verse is a test of true friendship. quote from mommy who quoted someone else," familiarity brings contempt."
aza. fighting!
