Romans 8:35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
i wanted to msg this verse out yesterday but it was too long. :) read it on wednesday morning in the bible and then i came across it again while i was reading a book titled 'the hiding place' by corrie ten boom. qiao hor? :D i was very encourage by both the verses and the book.
the book's about this lady, corrie, and her family who helped hide jews and do many other things for them during the German occupation in holland. yes, all that suspensing, underground stuff like secret rooms and fake ID papers. the most heartwrenching part to me is when she and family were imprisoned after being caught. the book addresses so many common questions a christian in any kind of trial would ask. anyway, some of her closest family members died in prison but she lived through it all. (her accounts can be quite vivid.) i think she was in her sixties when she finally got out, and she, according to the wishes of her very close sister who died, told of the things she knew God put her through, and helped many, many people who had also been damaged by the war. she died on her 91st birthday.
and now all of a sudden i have thousands of topics for essays flying through my brain. i'll post them up if i ever do them. :)
