HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAPA!

yep today's his birthday. had dinner at crystal jade, causeway point, before tim booked in. =) joint celebration for my dad and mom since hers is next week.

wanted to buy bag to replace my brown checkered one but no good deals. saw this pretty white guess bag, but you know guess.. in the hundreds. fat hope. will just keep looking around, using my (torn) black one first. ughh.

congrats to jerry for wining a bunch of medals. good job, boy!

i still cannot bite anything without extreme pain, and daddy made this really tasty pizza today so i'm quite depressed. i have taken my food for granted all this while. sighs.

BRACIES

actually today is a super EVENTFUL day really really! best story first.. i got braced up! met up with geil at ninish.. went to embrace (the clinic) and very quickly it was my turn. think i was the first one again. told the ortho about my gums, he said no problem, so apparently it's normal? started with the LONG process of putting on the metal. it's not as bad as i thought.. but tasted horrible! after about an hour or so it was done and i went to lucky plaza with ah geil to get philippino vinegar and duck sauce. or something like that.

second story-- A MUGGER CRASHED INTO ME on an escalator going towards the MRT. woah, geil and i were at the bottom, and the guy was runnnnning down at full speed (very loudly). think he was holding a wallet. this girl was screaming,"chase him!!!! " x1000. we couldn't really react and i was afraid if we tried to stop him he would hit us or something so i just stuck out my elbow and he barged right through it. into it. whatever. my arm was so red after that, and geil and i watched as the girl and another guy ran after him. after that we were talking about all the things we could have done, pull his hair for DNA, trip him, poke his eyes out, etc. a more practical thing we did was recall his appearance.. race age hair blah blah.

see this is why i should learn kung fu lah~

third but boring story is someone collapsed or something at SSC. i suspect collapse cause, well what else? give birth? i was waiting for the shuttle bus when an ambulance arrived and the stretcher came rolling out. it was there for so long.. left on the yishun bus before anyone came out. oh well.

on milk diet. sadness.. i love my food! at least i got to eat some severely chopped up noodles at the alamons' place.. oh yes, HAPPY BIRFDAY MARC!

awaiting tomorrow morning-- ortho appointment. wondering if i'll be able to get the braces done since my gums aren't doing that well still. gonna have so see what the orthodontist says lah. =\ i think during the weekend and first few days of the week the toothless parts got quite infected.. then yesterday and today it got better but they're still quite sore. boohoo~

meeting up with geil to go in the morning. =)

cooked myself a good mashed meal today. two, in fact. had rrrreally smashed ramen (in essence, pre-chewed) for lunch with choppppped up veggie and egg. for dinner, mashed potatoes and soup with toasted bread soaked inside, and since no veggies i blended three big tomatoes with some honey and drank it up. it's funny i hate tomatoes but like the juice? hah. trying to nutrify (?) myself since i can't eat as usual. must take care of the skin i painstakingly medicated back to health last year. (pats cheeks)

used this new blender for the first time just now while making the juice and i like it so much! gonna make milkshakes and stuff with it soon. =D

EXCITING! yes, i'm letting myself get excited about things again.

got home and changed the dressing. happy while the anesthesia lasted.

TIMMY AND THE CABBIE
tim went to his new camp early today. blessing to share! dad insisted tim took a cab cause his bags were HUGE, so mom, dad and tim took a cab. so happens the cab driver they got has a son whom he used to ferry to and back from that same camp!!! he was assuring my mom from his experience that tim won't suffer much there, and he was indoctrinizing timmy with the route(s). so my mom found some peace of mind and tim should be well versed with the way. thank God for this really cute blessing. like drama liddat leh, heheh.

another thing to praise God for is that ABM is now ABC! ^^ too bad i cannot vote leh. :D

the extraction fears are so over! i've overcome my fears! i am victorious! asaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
thank God lah. i was praying like mad before i went in.

and now my gums are beginning to ache and i'm swallowing mls of blooood. ugh~

went to the dents this morning at 10. was pretty mad with dad cause first thing in the morning nag nag nag. anyway got there and began to freak out, quietly. very quickly my turn came because i think we were the first lah.

THEN the dentist immediately went into it, confirming the teeth to be yanked and INJECTING the numb stuff. i am lazy to type anesblahblah so i'll use that phrase in place. it's not really like injecting at first.. he just.. i dunno, scratches the edge of your tooth near the gums? doesn't hurt that much. then for the second and third round of jabs he just jabs.

D- this will just make your gums numb, you will not feel the pain, but this will not knock you out, you will be totally conscious, you will feel the tooth being shaken, your head will shake about also, you will be totally aware, okay?

A- laughs and nods and puts hands on face because head is about to explode with fear.

haha~ he actually said that lah. so then after like 7 mins he yanks the first tooth, then the second, and i looked so constipated i tell you i hope i never see the dental assistant outside cause she'll be laughing at the memory of my constipated electricuted face.
the dentist then started rattling about how to care for my raw gums and how to fold the gauze, etc. and he told me to close my lips over the gauze he just put in-- cause it's bloody and scary. this dentist quite funny hor?

came back by myself cause dad needed to go to northpoint. self-proclaiming MC for today.. will show bloody mouth as the reason. uh, the numb stuff is wearing off and i'm feeling it! die die die.

I WENT A'VISITING

to QY's (aka sky's) house, which is just across the road from mine. he's actually a really sweet kid, and i find him quite teachable. anyway, jamie smsed me saying she was going over and asking for his home number, so i thought i'd go with her too.
we read him Bible stories and talked about stuff and prayed with him. didn't stay long, though. didn't wanna impose.

enjoying some free time by watching family outing (last last sunday's ep was super hilarious with the judo guy guesting!) and arranging fruitloops by gradient and then eating them from the red. after this have to help mommy do the fathers' day decor thing. gotta make one billion bows AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!

skipped the concert thing yesterday because i needed a nap and mom and dad wanted to eat this great big homecooked dinner. we ended up going to watch some fireworks show near northpoint with carol and the ongs. totally abandoned homecooked dinner, haha~

awesome fireworks.. better than i expected! the kids were super cute screaming away. =) i really like the ong kids. we had dinner out and went home.

gonna have lunch now. yesterday's dinner, lol.

for two of my poor little teeth.

gonna get two teeth extracted for braces today. tonight, rather. it is freaking me out and i get this (bad) adrenaline rush everytime i imagine my teeth being yanked out. one on each side of my upper row.. but not the same tooth. one will be a little more obvious than the other. complicated.

doing schoolwork today.. having lunchbreak now. i cooked for the two guys at home today, whee~

TEEMOTEE POP LOOOOO~
(tim has passed out from treasure island.)

we woke up really early and met up with my aunt (E-E Olga) at the interchange to take 39 to pasir ris.the bus ride was pukey but at least traffic was alright. fell asleep on the bus. had malay food for breakfast at pasir ris, where i met my paternal aunt briefly while coming back from the toilet.. she was on her way to work. anyways we got on the bus to the ferry terminal, fell asleep on the ferry, blah blah, reached there all sweaty and grosse.

the ushers on tekong led us mysteriously to the big audotorium where we watched transformers while waiting for, dunno what. i watched it before and really like it so i was content and happy to wait, just that i had to keep explaining everything to mommy who was sitting beside me. tim was in contact with us already, msging us for nothing. haha.

later went to the parade square, having our movie interrupted. waited again for like half an hour, then this zhiyang-like very enthu voice came booming down on us saying it was starting.. then the guys marched in !!! they looked so cool. the second comapny to march in was leopard so i promptly screamed my lungs out when they were introduced.

there was a cool down exercise for show, some other procedures for show, a long speech by some lady, and the bmt ROAR. some cheer they do lah.. funny stuff. i couldn't really see tim all this while because he was always being BLOCKED by taller people in front. pity. matthias on the other hand got the best recruit award so he was always somewhere in front, and he got to go up to the lady and receive the award. yeah i screamed for him too-" whoo go matthias~!!! " but on hindsight it was too soft. i don't think anyone really heard me? T_T"

so they marched out, then marched in again, then did the cap thing, finally got to see poor sweaty timmy and took photos with him, and then the ceremony was over. my dad wanted to go with the flow of the crowd when we weren't supposed to and that ended up in confusion because tim was waiting for us somewhere else. we tried not to get mad at daddy. timmy was all social and calling out to his buddies here and there.. so cute. hopped on the ferry and ate at the manhattan fish market at whitesands. (!) my aunt's treat.

came back and crashed on my new matress. tim went to meet his army friends and celebrate later in the evening, and i thought he'd come back at like, 11 or something but he came home at 9! realized the guys hadn't slept since monday.

OH, this is tim's and my new toy.. the NERF ! we bought the set of two pistols first to try try. if it proves fun we'll buy the rifle next month, wheee! the neon green one is officially mine. hmmhmm~ we sat down outside the SSC popular straightaway after buying it and opened everything and started shooting. don't worry we made sure we weren't bothering anybody.. we're not inconsiderate dummies, just dummies. this set comes with the vests and eyewear. not exactly stylish but better wear than go blind right? this pic is hilarious.. i said, hey tim take picture take picture. then tim irritatedly replied, dowan lah out here. go home then take. while i was pressing the capture button on my phone he whipped the gun up to his face james bond style but too late, i took the pic already. so funny he pretend shy only, haha!

ABM VBS june 2009 has ENDEDDD. aw ...

on the first day, the kids were adjusting to the enviroment and still getting to know their boundaries regarding what they could and couldn't do. i tried not to have favourites but some kids just stood out, funny characters. some kids were a little difficult, but we tried our best to manage. some mommies were there too, pitching in wherever they could. that helped alot. =) the lesson was on the fall of man. the adam and eve puppets rocked! ahem, not rocked lah (origins origins) they were effective in catching the kids' attentions.

on friday the kids were surprisingly settled and more friendly to each other. we had one less kid, though. on this day the cuteness began to set in and there were NO tantrums. *applause* the lesson was on the final hours of Jesus before he was crucified. heavy stuff for the kids so geil and i were praying hard for them to understand the main thing-- God's love. thngs went well, weather was burning as was the day before.

yesterday's lesson was on the lost sheep. props were awesome again (whooo~!) kids were hypnotized to the stuffed sheep i made and began to inch to it during the lesson like zombies. (with that blank look.) also heavy stuff because of the abstract factor of the lesson.. the relation they had to draw between the shepherd and Jesus. art and craft was so so cute!!! we made sheep photo frames. one kid drew really thick red lips on his lamb and i later found out, when i was walking him home, that it had lipstick on and he made it for his mommy. AWW. lols~

today i was just... battery flat. lean-on-wall-and-fall-asleep mode. taught the kids about the parables Jesus told about heaven and stressed on the fact that it's better than anything on earth and we can go there if we ask Jesus to save us. my voice was and is going so.. had some trouble. isa's in london today! the kids and i prayed for you isa! it rained so des and CH brought the kids to a pavilion in sembawang for games instead of the park. i kinda see it as a blessing because i was so tired! so that was today. i don't have pics, sad. but i just ripped some pics off tim's facebook. pics of the concert we went to last saturday!

quick post before i bathe and zhaooo to eat and meet ah geil. today we'll be making puppets (big cardboard/foam ones of adam, eve, and sheep), sheep and wolf masks, one big propped up cross, and the calvary backdrop.

it's lesser work than i thought we'd have to do, thanks to isa who's doing most of the running around. take care isa!

wah, pretty tired today. especially my back! went to popular after school to get some vbs stuff. then geil and isa came over to plan the games and icebreakers. geil and i painted the first backdrop that we need for the lesson... 4 pieces of mahjong paper joined into one big picture!

isa left after praying with us and geil stayed for dinner. timmy is in some fix now because the people in charge there are telling them that if they fail they will have to go back during their leave week.. he was pretty upset. tried to encourage him to trust God, but you know.. humans have emotions and it's just natural that he's kinda freaking out for now. hopefully he'll feel less appaled after a good night's sleep. geil went home, i continued the painting.

cut and prepared more art and craft stuff until my back hurt, then i went to do the dishes and now here i am. phew~ preparing art stuff is not very fun. i should have treasured the days of being a participant...

tomorrow geil's coming over to marathon with me and finish the 1000 things to do for the vbs. AZA! hal su isso! (we can do it) gotta remember to pray before starting. =)

haha, on friday tim was telling about these three army guys who would suddenly break out in dance.. dancing.. NOBODY by the wondergirls. (it's a ridiculously girly song that took korea by storm. nothing worth listening to though.) anyway, he was just saying how he HAD to remember to tell me that since i'd be super entertained by it, and i was lah. especially when he described how enthusiastically they did it.

i cannot imagine three guys doing that.

I AM OFFICIALLY DOWN with a sore throat today. really runny nose woke me up at around 3 this morning.. i realized i'd been wiping snot all over my face for the past hour or so. sighs, i gotta get well by wednesday! sick children cannot go for VBS, then sick teachers? (AH!)

quick post about saturday and yesterday. um, the sumatras from the philippines came to abm! so we spent some time with them on saturday going to watch jerry's concert at victoria concert hall (wahhh.) had lunch at plaza sing, went for choir, stayed for an informal fellowship with the missionaries, had dinner, and came back home. oh we (my family) were john mark's angels.. meaning we were to settle his meal and take care of him. haha, flap flap.

on sunday the choir was singing so i had to dress formally. hoho, not comfy but, what to do. pastor sumatra preached and showed the video about the ministry over there. it was very encouraging, not just his words but also seeing what he has given to the Lord.
i stayed for lunch and the tagalog service, then went back home. my dad and i didn't get home in time to say bye to tim, aw. sorry timmy.

the sumatras are going home tonight! seems so soon, but they've actually been here for about a month. we will be praying for you!

idk why, but they really like tim ALOT. and i also realized that john mark and i exchanged emails 3 long years ago! but after a while he didn't reply me. T_T"

okok tons of stuff to do. major to-do = SCHOOLWORK i'm so behind!
