alright, my team lost the quiz today. by 3 points, which is one question's worth of points. i wonder what the winners get. at least we didn't lose miserably, HAHA.

tim had to practice the piano for tomorrow so i had lunch with yunli. she was having a headache and i was just bearing with my throat. we ate and talked and then aunty alice walked by and sat down. she was in the area. so we continued eating and talking until tim came to da bao food. after that we all headed home. aunty alice was talking about my skin being very fair and teochew and stuff. haha, i remember when i used to wanna be tan like everyone else. now i'm fine with anything. being fair isn't that bad what. don't have to waste money on those whitening products and sob over pigment problems. =) OH, one day right, i asked my mom a random question in hopes of seeing her stutter answerlessly. "mommy, am i pretty?" you know what she said? "no." logically i made alotta noise and she continued. "you're not pretty. in fact you look funny. but you're charming. like me. hahaha~" moms hava way with words..

if you could wish for one thing, what would you wish for? i'd wish for an infinite amount of wishes. haha, cliche huh? :P

yay, i woke up earlier than usual. it's 8! haha, usually i can't get up on this particular day of the week. =) john 8-16 john 8-16 john 8-16. jiayou!

on a sad note, i woke up with a sore throat and it's bugging me now. must have been all that fried food and chilli i had last night. :(

just came back from suppppper! just now at BTI bJohnny went through how to share the Gospel and stuff, then daph, jieyi, joanna and me prayed together. my hair was wet and i bunned it up so i was having a serious headache throughout the whole thing, but it was tahan-able lah. ^^ THEN we all went for supper in sembawang! a bunch of us had really expensive and not worth nasi lemak and ate off those who didn't have nasi lemak. chatted and stuff and came home. i found out that this blog actually DOES have readers! [wheee.] jacob was totally making fun of my beetle chronicles and imitating me and stuff. ARGH! and jieyi said she can't eat and read my blog at the same time. okay lah that's understandable. HEH.

been having a lower back ache for quite some time. doesn't feel right and i think i pulled something. :(

today i remembered a funny and true story starring timmy. he used to be fat when he was in primary school, and he was also a monitor in lower primary? i think la. anyway he got so fed up one day of his noisy companions who were tumbling around uncontrollably and screaming their lungs out, that he wrote two big words on the board and stood back proudly hoping the class would take note of the huge memo. suddenly everyone started laughing and pointing at the words and then someone shouted," HAHA. HE SAY KEEP QUIT !" timohtay, you so funny luh.

ho-kay, those who are going for the BTI (Bible training and intercession) this friday, remember to:
memorize- 2 tim 2:22-26, ecclesiastes 7:29, isaiah 53:6, and romans 3:23. as much as possible try lah.
also, read- genesis 1-3 and romans 1-3.
and, think about these questions- what is the gospel? what are the main points from unsaved to saint?

yesterday we learned about the beatitudes in sunday bible hour. finally understand what they're all about, although bJohnny hasn't covered them all yet. they are my new criteria for true happiness, since each verse starts, "blessed are they that...". :) in the worship service we learned about the second coming of Christ. it's seriously complicated and SCARY stuff lah, and we as christians ahould be watching, waiting, and serving.

after service i was feeling lazy and the weather was horrib, so i didn't really wanna go meet the girls. then jieyi was saying, don't skip lah, wait they angry. and i was like, in a dilemma. dillema. in a quandary lah. in the end when i asked sher and raye if we could skip that day sher replied me, we're already eating. -_-"

anyway last night i couldn't really sleep and today i woke up with a sore throat ! NNOOOOOOOO. man, i hate being sick lah. now my eyes are puffy and i'm sneezing. NOT GOOD GAN JUE. *cries*

i hope this week'll be a productive one. :|

tim had a bad experience with this beetle and lizard who ganged up to freak him out. i correct myself, i said in the heading it was a spider and a lizard? it wasn't a spider, it was a beetle! so tim was looking out for that spider i mentioned in an earlier post and he went to use the bathroom lah. then suddenly while he was, um, busy doing business, this beetle came flying in noisily, flapping around and everything. so he was, how to say. kallangkabot-ing away trying to smack it and in the end i think he took a hose and pulverized it. how to spell pulverized ah? polverise?? whatever. it was half dead and while he was reaching for a towel, he pulled it and a lizard dropped out, giving him another heart attack and random spastic convulsions and twitchings. ah so funny luh. i was laughing like mad when he told me what happened and i was GLAD IT WASN'T ME THAT HAD TO FACE THEM. :|

today at teens club daph brought a friend. she's nice. played cherades, and you know what i had to act out? "she went to the post office to eat jelly for lunch." this bJohnny super lah, how he come up with this kind of thing one? anyway i did it. YAY. sang songs, had a lesson on worshiping God properly, and had the quiz, which i wasn't really prepared for. must try harder to read the passage leh, i always last minute one. GRR, lazybumm. had lunch with yunli and now i'm here complaining about the weather, which i just realized is also God- given. okay lah maybe it's not so bad. know what happened to the israelites when they complained? they got struck dead my a plague ...... i think.

i'm thinking of making money [pocket money: i need it.] and i'm wondering if drawing portraits will work. doing test ones for my family [of course i cannot charge them la. also not they want me to draw one.] to see if it'll turn out looking like them. if i'm good, i'll offer to draw for anyone for a cheap price. NOT LIVE PORTRAIT AH, drawing from photo. i'm not that pro yet. i have problems drawing asian faces lah, ang moh faces can but not asian faces, cause they lack enough depth for my shading and, well we're tanner. must TRY. see how lah.

boring days. recently the days have been split into half, first it's sunny and horribly hot, the kind that makes you wanna tear your hair out, and then it's humid and rainy. weird huh?

there's a spider terrorizing the kitchen bathroom users and i don't like it cause i'm a kitchen bathroom user. [sorry, i feel like being long winded today.] it pops up here and there in the weirdest places and it just won't drown. i've tried to smack it dead several times, but i think it's a mutant or something. no offense, charlotte's web lovers. this spider is nothing like charlotte. it isn't grey, smart, pretty, and doesn't have the voice of julia roberts, although it might be female.

paranoia sets in. i have no idea why i'm going on and on about my hate for spiders.

titus and phoebe gave me cards when i wasn't feeling too good and didn't go for SG. so cute right? then on sunday phoebe came to me and said, i gave u a card u know?. then i said, yeah. thanks phoebe! but she continued to stare at me with a smile and huge eyes. until i finally said, i'll give you one back next week, ya? LOL. then she ran off contentedly. SO CUTE.

for today's hour of preaching from that irish guy again, i learned about ezekiel. [yes, ezekiel again.] that God called him to warn the jews and tell them to repent, and then told ezekiel that nobody was gonna listen to him, but to still go and warn them anyway. so sometimes God wants us to do things not for the result we may have in mind using our logic, but for higher purposes that may seem abstract to us. tadah, i managed to learn something before falling asleep AGAIN. i think my mom's quite mad with me for doing that. but i really couldn't help it! i look at the verses, close my eyes, and next thing i know i'm on some weird position on the floor and my butt's numb. SORRY LA, BOSS. :|

yesterday afternoon my mom got me and tim to sit down and listen to a sermon by an irish preacher. FYI i can get really sleepy in the afternoon. so anyway, i tried my best not to doze off but i think i did, here and there. :| i did, however, manage to learn some things from whatever i did hear. the message was on ezekiel and the jews and how the jews thought God would never punish them, because they were his chosen people. although it was true that they were chosen, they forgot that didn't mean they could sin all they wanted. i think the point is, don't let God's promises numb you from your sin. good lesson for me. :)

ah, another school day. AZA!

Y-A-Y. finnnnnnnally got to eat a proper meal with raye and sher la. been so long! ate at sunplaza cause we were super starved. when we were ordering right, we took the opened-wallet opportunity to pay back each other's debts and whatever we owed each other. then we were like, hey i owe u this this this right? oh no i paid u aredy. eh? eh got anot ah? and the wearied cashier just stared on. after 3 minutes or so we ordered our food and sat down. talked and shot DUMB DUMB [two for emphasis] vids, ate, made fun of food that looked like mucus, and left. walked around and tried on funny clothes at this fashion and left. reached home at around 330 and NAPPED!

there goes my sunnyday. gotta go have some SUPPER now!

went for the piano concert thing on tuesday. i found it nice lah, even though i'm just staring at talented people who can do things with the piano that i can't. the music was okay and the atmosphere was nice. :) jo and jieyi were laughing at something during the concert [i think they just caught the laffing bug. they didn't even know what they were laughing at.] but the only think that cracked me up during the performance and made me suppress my gag-like laugh was this guy who looked quite young, and while he was playing he was like, i think supposed to be showing emotion, so when he held down notes he kind of made this tormented face, you know, how musicians look absorbed in their music, but to me he looked like he had to sneeze and was constipated at the same time. realllly luh, it was like, his would lift up his nose while pressing the keys ... then crumple up his face like when a person says aaAAAAAHH then ready to CHOO!, very very hilarious. i was just, gagging and convulsing away in my seat. ah so mean right..

so in the end there was no kayaking today, sadly. had teens club and the exodus 19-20 quiz. my team tried to catch up a lil with the other team. then ying liang did something with the mac book with tim and i walked around playing with my silly-ly braided hair. then poor uncle jacob was vacuuming the place all alone [his duty today.] before that he asked me if i wanted to help then i said NO, and he showed this very angry serious i-so-dun-like-you-mean-person face. so in the end i helped him la, call me soft hearted. NO, KIND hearted. hahaha. later tim joined him and helped wash the porch and back. THEN the uncle jacob didn't wanna wash the toilets, which is part of the duty, but tim and i persuaded him. HAHA, and tim and him washed them, while i supervised and gave eye power. after everything was done we were so super tired and sticky so we chilled in the teens room and made good use of the new air con. soon bJohnny came and then bought us lunch in appreciation of our work. reached home at around 3:45. TADAH, there goes my saturday.

pumped out a few pretty drawings this week, and i'm verry happy about them. no camera now so i can't post them up. :(

at today's meeting bJohnny preached on what people are saying in hell and what it's like there, from what the bible tells us lah. scary stuff, and a good reminder to christians not to take our salvation lightly. freaks me out to think of going to hell. *shudders* oh sher dropped by too, from her mini holiday [shall not explicerate.] was nice to see her and chat and stuff, although she suddenly ganged up with my two other freinds and became a MEANIE. lol, make me angry ah, one day i take live lizard put into your bags ah! MUAHAHA, kidding laa.

and some people insist i dyed my hair. i didn't. it's all naturale! whoo~ ^^

haha, Jesus even gave us a promise at the end. guess He knows we're humanly face-conscious scaredy cats. praying for the ev. meetings tomorroh, that some soul will be saved and doors will open. frankly right, i'm quite nervous about sharing the gospel. DONO WHY LEH, but honestly lah. i think if i do, i'd freak out half way when the person asks a difficult question and call bjohnny to answer it. HAHA. tsktsk. may God give us all extra fluency and intelligence to share his Word tomorrow. :) A-ZA !

of late i'm learning that as christians in this world, God holds us accountable for the souls around us , the people we have the chance to tell of God's gift. one day God will ask us why we didn't seize opportunities, or praise us for when we did. it's a freaky thought, especially for those people who have like, lots of friends. what are we really doing for the soul of the person beside us who is heading towards hell? something i'm chewing on and struggling with.

now, are there dogs in heaven?? or any animal for that matter?

see, this is totally why i don't feel like getting braces. if it were pain free or really fast or something then i'd do it lah. poor timmy..

OH, i had a cool dream, that i went backpacking with some people in korea. HAHA very fun leh! then we played uno [i think tt's subconsciously my favourite game or sth.] and i could speak korean and i was boasting and stuff. AW, it was just a dream. AND i bought spoons and chopsticks [those metal ones la.] as souvenirs! so fun, the kind of dreams you wanna continue, like hoping for part two. heee.

my mommy says i'm about 6kg underweight? 6 KAYGEES? relly meh.. i seriously stuff myself everyday you know. oh, fact= bjohnny met me for the first time when i was 4. tim and i were playing at the void deck. great, i was probably doing something super-spastic. i was very spastic when i was little you know? i have vids of me DANCING. very funnnyyyy, my thorax was unusually longer than my legs [which were stunted like whad.]. i'm glad they grew. :| or i'd look like a hobbit or something. other funny things i did were ... writing lots of alphabet letters mirror image, wear tim's sandals on my hands, and basically copy whatever tim did. AND I'D SCOLD HIM TOO. one time i said, see what you've done? huh? and i was only 2 !! i wish i had a mei mei like me..

alright, enough dumb self-glorying baby stories [but they're all true okay!]. i shall go do something more worthwhile. heh. ^^ byebye la.

my cute little bran bran doesn't look like this anymore! he got a seasonal shave and is now B-A-L-D. heehee. funny looking creature. speaking of which, the pet shop near my house sells dog food at pretty neat prices, so if you wanna buy dog food so check it out. :) then maybe i can get commission. oh, yesterday yunli came over to practice her violin with tim and eat dinner with us. dad was out surveying so it was nice to have company. played, ate and talked and laughed and she repaired my on-loan violin string and laughed somemore and talked about MARRIAGE [cute right? i added in my salt and pepper. KAHAHA] and she went back.
