i spent the 25th at church and at my aunt's. :) nothing very exciting, but it was nice. yesterday was evacuation day for my family and neighbours. people came to hack down the corridoor cement floor so that it could be replaced and it's super loud. so we fled to eat lunch outside and then went up to the hill. we brought bran along, of course. on the way out i saw my neighbour taking her dog out too. today the hacking continues, but it's not right outside our house so it's not that unbearable.

it's xmas eve people! i've gotten three presents. one from mommy and two from aunts. ^-^ the singing yesterday was fine, although attendance was a little low. i was feeling seriously tired after service so i came home and napped, but when i woke up i had this pounding headache on my left side, so so disabling. today i feel much better lah. went down for breakfast with parents and came back first to read bible, blog, and do work. i don't wanna waste xmas eve idling away.

a note on the use of the word XMAS. people always say, "don't X Christ out of christmas!" well i say christmas isn't a christian word in the first place. christ + mass = mass of christ. UM, i'm not catholic so i don't do masses. Christ wasn't born on the 25th too, someone was just very misleading and made everyone think so. besides, the whole 'spirit' of christmas nowadays amongst the general public has nothing to do with God or Christ or His birth or the purpose of His coming. it's become a materialistic eat drink and be merry holiday where you kiss under funny plants and be good for ulterior motives [santa]. i find it ironic that people 'die die' want to put Christ's name in a holiday that now has so littttle to do with Him, and if you study the origin of christmas you would even be more reluctant to do so. but anyhow, i'm not saying you should or shouldn't call christmas christmas. i'm saying there is no point forming convictions on this trivial matter because it would hardly make a difference in the end. i use xmas because i want to save typing/writing energy, not for the sake of being a rebel or what not. i kind of had to explain all this to people a few times, so i thought i'd just throw everything out here and ask people to read it if they asked me why i used the word xmas.

i shall go wash off my face mask now. :D

YAY i have gotten my comp back [thank GOD!] and carol's back too! :D today some of us went to play captain's ball. at first they played at a court near my house, but it started raining so everyone went to the semb mart void deck and i joined them. the way we play very funny one lor! got screaming and falling down and cheating [sort of la.] funfunfun. after that we went for lunch near northpoint. shared porridge with geil and i just realized i forgot to pay s. weichern back [AIYOH]. a very happening morning!

christmas is coming. i know it's some worldly holiday and all, but the festive air is so refreshing. there're sales and good buys and starbuckz at NP is even giving away sample drinks in nice big cups, so much so it's as good as a free drink! when else does that happen?? :D i think i'm getting carried away. change subject.

lets remember to pray for people. the number of things to pray for is really overwhelming, but we should still give it a shot right? pray for people who are finding it tough running the race, people who are doing right, people who are not.

goodnight everybody. sleep well. :)
i am so sad. my comp is down, and no it wasn't my doing. some male in my family used it to test something and tadah, now it's spoiled. anyway now i gotta use tim's comp. keyboard so funny one, tsk. this week's my mom's leave week so we're trying to spend time together.

last night i ate and ate until i was so bloated that i had to turn to tiger balm for help. i think i'm suffering from indigestion. :( so if you see me these few days, just know that i'm not actually that fat. it feels awful.

on monday my mom and i went to eat with geil to celebrate her being born day! roy was having a haircut so we invited him along. BTW he's botak now [so cuuuute] LOL.

for SOME ccamp pics click HERE. tm's saving the really 'good' [or rather idiotic] pics for watchnite.

aza aza fighting!

reached home from church camp on saturday evening! aiyoh, there's so much to tell about the camp i seriously dunno where to start lah. let me generalize everything. the messages were great and i will remember them. the weather was awesome, thanks to God. the people were super funny and nice and family-like. the facilities were quite run down but i guess everything else made up for that. =) the theme was pressing on! hebrews 12:1,2. we went to a waterfall and went crazy there, we saw an injured horse, we tried out archery and went back again cause it was too fun, we hunted for tarantulas, we played captain's ball in the rain, scrabbled and unoed, and made idiots of ourselves during charades. FUN RIGHT? my roommate was GEIL; we both got freaked out by scary bugs and stayed awake for hours. i bunked in a room with her, and in the other rooms of our apartment were the bornays, a very cute family. sometimes i felt like i was in the philippines when geil and everyone spoke tagalog, but that's fine. ;) the bus rides were okay and pretty funny OTHER THAN when the ride up the mountain starts. the way up was alright but the ride down was seriously pukey and like, 3 ppl puked in the bus. i almost did but i held it in by crouching into a ball in the seat beside roy. when we were down from the mt. i went back to my seat beside u. roland and jake.
alright, there are some weird ideas going on now because i sat beside jacob and was laughing like a mad person there. clarification: i was actually sitting with geil and planned to spend the whole ride with her. then we played uno and aunty janet, who was sitting beside her son in the backest row, told me to change seats with her so it'd be easier. geil sat with roy and i promptly sat one seat away from jake. then we played that micro-scrabble with jerry and i moved beside him. on the ride back, my dear buddy geil was already sitting beside my bro so i just sat beside u. roland, who was beside jake. later i changes places with u. roland. and all the laughing was just lame stuff. the END. no, i don't like jacob, there are no sparks flying or anything, please stop speculating. i will be more reserved next time.
anyways, when i was sitting beside u. roland on the ride home, i said i was hungry and he pulled out 2 cinnamon buns out of his pocket. FYI i love cinnamon stuff. so i ate the chocolate one and when i came to the plain one i realized it was full of huge black ants. so i can proudly say i have eaten ants before! [ unconsciously] some of us were supposed to go shopping at JB but in the end it was too late. reached home around 8. at 11 the lows came to get their dog. LOL.

Monday, December 10, 2007

i came back from church yesterday and CRASSSHED until about 8. yesterday was the last day of VBS! oh yes, i taught on the second day right? and it was successful, just the lesson part, but everything else was crazy-out-of-control. kids just love storybooks lah. you start telling the story and suddenly all the kids hush and look. amazing. so THANK GOD even if they were wild the rest of day, at least they payed attention to the lesson. that's like the most important part. =)

sis. weichern took the third day lesson where we acted out some funny skit. i was delilah, a clever bully, and isa was mary, a good christian. my character [i say it like i'm some big shot actress HAHAHA] can dance ballet, sing, and knows taekwando. she also likes to bully christians. in the end she gets saved and her life changes. that was the main point.. a change of life. :)

and finally, yesterday isa shared the gospel to the kids that could come. they're really young but they all said they wanted Jesus to save them from their sins and they said they believed in Him. ^^ may God keep them and their faith safe as they grow up.

NOWW, church camp! i'm overly excited, as usual lah. i need more casual dresses to wear over jeans and i need track pants. but there's no time/money to buy them now so WHO CARES. isa is quite sick, so please pray for her! i really want her to go. =| it's supposedly very cold there so i'm bringing some long sleeved stuff. the bus ride is very long too so i'm bringing dumb stuff like eye masks and uno. i may write or draw too. if roy brings his dvd player then problem solved. =D AAAH i hope i don't puke.

my kayaking shoes spoiled. =( so sentimental.

Saturday, December 08, 2007

WAHWAHWAH vbs is tough stuff! the first day was alright, i suppose. honestly i think this vbs is the one with the most hiccups i've ever seen. my mom kept reminding me to focus on the important things like giving the message to the children and depending on God. so that's what i plan to try to do today.

funny things about yesterday: half the kids in my kindies class are foreign. a bit of a language problem there. one boy is unimaginably hyper. i think he eats jet fuel or something. one boy is heart-wrenchingly sweeeeet. one girl doesn't wanna play anything or do art and craft. one girl basically is in her own world and does whatever she wants e.g. strangle and slap her friend and run around screaming. also, along with the kids come a group of helpers and moms. for art and craft we made sunglasses which are so sooooo cute. thanks geil for helping!!

today is scary. isa and sis. maria won't be there, so it's just sis. weichern and me, unexperienced me. AND I'M TEACHING LAH. i made a giant story book. the lesson's about the boy who gave 5 loaves & 2 fishes. AZA! pray for me. :) must depend on God. *chants*

pray for:
mememe. hah.
tim & games.
safety of kids.
strength for all workers.
kids to understand lesson.
kids to be good.
daddy & the bus.
parents to be nice.
kids to know Christ!

Proverbs 3:1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.

3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:

12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.

15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.

17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.

18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

20 By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.

21 My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:

22 So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.

23 Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.

24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.

25 Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

27 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.

28 Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.

29 Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.

30 Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.

31 Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.

32 For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.

33 The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.

34 Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.

35 The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

WEDDING CARD that is sold! actually it's a custom made one for jamie. her friend's getting married on a boat [SO SUPER COOL LAH. i wanna copy them next time also. XD] and i tried to think of something related and made this in the end. i still have to add some words/ a word on the left but i'm still thinking what to write. :\

i'm not feeling so good in spirits because i made a terrrrrible mistake ignorantly and may be in for some serious chiding. :( it's one of those times you wish you could turn back time. i have a big cloud over my head. (very sad face)

Tuesday, November 27, 2007

the message yesterday was on the blessed hope [Christ's second coming]. it was encouraging and a great reminder on how we should live life. :) thank God daphne, geil, and chianyi came. i haven't seen chianyi in a long time! she looks the same i think. i wonder if she remembers me. :\ i remember hanging around her and jessie and weiting alot and i was kinda like the younger odd one. that was long ago. i'm sure we're all very different now. =) uncle Ro gave us some funky SUNGLASSES! HAHAHA i will use them to look cool while kayaking or jogging. now i have reasons to go into the sun, HEHEH.
tim and i found the secret agents in us. *winks*

oh, just now my dad brought P. chantha and his wife susan to our humble abode to ... rest? i was a little zhao ji [that means panicky right?] because this abode was more like a pigsty and i scrambled to tidy it up. they're travelling through SE asia to have a look around and see where God wants them to do stuff. bran was all cuddly. my dad took them out for lunch after a while. =) tim was sleeping, which was too bad. he would have gotten along very well with P. chantha 'cause he's a media guy too.

aza! i have 3 more weeks and 11 paces!
Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

BABY PHOTOSSS. everybody, here is the cutest baby i've ever seen, next to timmy when he was a baby. this is geselle. *clapclapclap* she is loud and has a full head of hair. don't mess around with this girl! i took this pic when we went to visit the alamons the day she was born. the happy daddy. his face was beaming in real life. :)

Thursday, November 22, 2007

today's the day! congrats, alamon family! i know it's really dumb, but I AM SUPER EXCITED. i'm not even blood related to the baby but i'm so excited. on sunday i asked sis. Gema if i could put my hand on her tummy [weird, i know. i'm so thickskinned] and it was like a WATERBALLOOON. she said it was "very heavy", well i'll say! can't imagine carrying that around for 6 months. anyway, thank God the baby and mommy and entire family is fine and bro. Bob didn't faint of happiness or anything. [HAHAR]
my granny takes note of people when she goes to church, and she names them according to their quirks or features. E.G.: s. Gema is the pregnant one, des is the black one, june is the skinny one, and s. suwei is the one with many kids. so one day she asked if the baby was a boy or a girl and i told her it's a girl. she doesn't get the whole scanning and knowing in advance thing so she took my statement as a bet, and she bet it's a boy. [seriously i tried to explain to her that it was confirmed a girl] so today i triumphantly announced to her that the baby was born, and that it was a girl. hahh. now she thinks i'm somehow talented at predicting the genders of unborn babes.
well anyway, i'm gonna go to the hospital later to accompany geil and over-excitedly congratulate everyone. :)
school work's better this week. 12 more paces to go. i see finishing up this year's work as running up hill. it's not fun and it's super tiring but it's quite satisfying.
OH i painted my mommy and it was rainey yesterday. so a huge wind blew through my room and FLONGGG, by foam plate of paint FLEW OUT THE WINDOW LAH. so wasted. i took it as some sign that i wasn't supposed to be painting then and went to read my bible. [LOL]

Tuesday, November 20, 2007

i am working hard. =) taking a break now. my weekend was kind of strange and sad but the new week so far has been good. sometimes in the midst of unpleasant things i really wonder what God has planned or purposed. it's confusing too, not knowing if it's trials or some punishment.
aza!

Saturday, November 17, 2007

i am now officially, truly, seriously (etc) stressed with my work because i'm not so confident that i can finish it by november anymore. [!] i think that's why my face is suddenly infested with zits and other weird things. worst of all, i can't really sleep well because my grandmother decided to go nocturnal. =|

went for bible training yesterday. the stuff that was brought up was tricky. geil and i prayed together. =)

Proverbs 14:16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
Proverbs 9:8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
Proverbs 26:12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

the wise man in proverbs is really almost perfect. he does everything right, so he's definitely someone to learn from. the fool, on the other hand, is for us to check ourselves. :D

oh another thing that happened this week is i cleaned out my room and found the hmon* bible cover they gave me and the BRACELET we taught the kids to make according to the wordless book. WAH, i tell you, i was so happy to find those things. they reminded me if the things i should remember from the trip. man, that seems so long ago.

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

boo! i haven't posted in a while. UMM, on saturday i came home after teens club because i had some backlag test and art projects that i didn't finish in friday. =( but before that jake treated a few of us to lunch. [yay! free meeeeal.]

then on sunday everything was normal. and yesterday after school tim and i went to the wedding rehearsal. i'm supposed to film the behind the scenes section... a good use of my thick skin personality, i guess. it was really draggy, but nobody's to be blamed. and there was another free meeeeal, so, i'm appeased. HAHAA. i hope i got good footage. the lighting was laoya. :\

Proverbs 9:1 Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:

2 She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.

3 She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,

4 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,

5 Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.

6 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

7 He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.

8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

11 For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

12 If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

13 A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.

14 For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,

15 To call passengers who go right on their ways:

16 Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,

17 Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

18 But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.

today's the 9th, so i read prov 9. :) i'm still trying to be faithful in Bible reading. EVERYONE READ ALSO OKAY? X)

Thursday, November 08, 2007

i went out with mommy today, to AMK hub. we haven't been out together like that for a long time. my shopping stamina has gone down, surprisingly. it was nice. :) thanks mommy.

i'm STILL making cards, so if anybody wants some just sms me. ;)

Wednesday, November 07, 2007

i spent an hour or so of last night lying in my bunk bed listening helplessly to granny ranting very loudly about her stay at the hospital. she has that habit of sleeping in the day and staying up in the night, and another habit of TALKING TO NOBODY, probably just to get things off her chest. i can't blame her, but i really don't like my panda eyes. so today i'll make sure she stays awake while the sun is shining and get her to talk as much as she can. :) she's talking even now, about her stools. WOW. now she's complaining how the nurses didn't give her food, but that's because you can't eat before a surgery. haha. AIYOH mama ah....

my right ear is infected and it HURTS. I DONO WHY LEH. how how? will i go deaf? will it spread to my brain? :O IS THERE A BUG INSIDE MAKING A NESTT?? *faints*

i want to cut my hair hair. aza!

Tuesday, November 06, 2007

granny is coming home today. heard her stitching is quite grosse. aggie fact: my feet get tingly when i see bloody stuff or even talk about blood or grosse medical procedures. somehow that's always a hot topic in my house, given that my mom's a nurse and tim's a sci-am reader.

i'm feeling a little fed-up now, but of course i won't spread it out all over my blog. this is why blogs aren't personal to me. you can't really tell the whole story. :\ boo lah.

i have 15 more PACES to go and three more weeks left to do them. add oil add oil.
i don't like my art pace. it keeps telling me to get pictures from magazines, and tim gets mad when i rip pics off his nat geos, so i'm left with -- FRUSTRATION. then no color printer so cannot use pics from the net. GAAAAAAAAAAAHHH !

but it rained today so i'm happy.
granny is in hospital. mommy brought her there yesterday and she was warded to have her OP today, you know, for her arm and all. it's called an angioplasty, topping the list of chim words i know, next to conjunctivitis and the full term for DNA. i wonder how she's doing. old people are people you really can't take forgranted. PRAY FOR HER LEH, as in, pray long long. [hahaha.] hope she can come home soon.

things i have learned from granny:
the peranakan language. HA.
that mind is really over body.
that there are things in life that we just gotta leave to God instead of drop hair over.
that life comes from God
that yellow gold is better than white.
that zambuk heals everything
that a simple faith can make the way much clearer.
that real women don't need drugs while giving birth.
that you can be happy even in alot of pain.

sweet huh? she's one of a kind. remind me to be more patient with her please. X)

went for the rehearsal thing at pemimpin yesterday. took a cab there. got to catch the wonkies and the gohs and LTL too so i passed him his present there. :) jemy waved to meeeee.. and my heart melted, HAHA. they're sweet kids. the onkies too, i mean, the ongsters. tim practiced his filming while i filmed the behind the scenes whatevery thing. i'll do a better job next week i promise. yes, i'm going again next week! maybe we can rush faster so i can catch more people. i was some stand in bridesmaid too so i walked in with the flower girls during the procession practice. i was a fake bridesmaid for a day. :| b.Dan offered us a ride back. end of sunday's activities.

tim asks me every now and then whether i'd get married in a studio. NO LAH. if i get married it would either be in a church or outdoors. i really like the outdoor idea but singapore is so tropical, not a very good idea unless i have alot of money. if i have alot of money, then i'll hire timmy to invent a bubble over singapore so i can air con the whole island, then i can hold my wedding outdoors. i think church is better. or any other very nice building. and i will design my own gown because i hate all those gowns everyone seems to be wearing and designer gowns are too expensive, that is, unless i've gotta lotta money. this is confusing. :\

work time! byebyebye.

why doesn't anyone like this kind of design? empire cut, NICE WHAT. lol.

three pretty cards for sale! i'll probably use them up if they don't sell. :(
going for $6 altogether. they've got jewels on them leh.
the yellow yellow part is the floor, not a part of the card.
"just to say..."

"happy birthday. may beautiful things come your way"

"sometimes a simple thank you seems to say it best."

i wonder how granny is.

once again it's friday [not that you don't already know] and the week has just, whizzzed by me [i don't like that.] i really really wish saturdays were longer so i could do stuff with my parents, esp my mommy. the weekends are so filled it's kinda frustrating [to me lah.] *big big :( face* on sundays she has to take care of granny after church and by the time lunch is over, it's like 2.30.
i don like i don liiiike. :|

anyway, weekdays are super mundane for me. trying to finish off my school work for the year asap so i can have holidays, but the problem is that i'm a lazy person. HAHA, no lah, these few weeks have been good. i'm working hard! to the point i'm sitting down so much i've grown a huge belly. [i have to present some kind of proof..] :D BASHIAAAAA!!!

hey peepol tag leh. last time got alot of people tag how come now nobody tag one? if you visit my bloggie then TAG! it will somehow make me happier. ahem. :)

Friday, November 02, 2007

I FOUND MY SCRAPBOOOOOOOK [good thing] ! look lah, this is us and uncle samuel. =D he was our super good friend and we used to stay over at his place for fun. haven't seen him in uh, A FEW YEARS. that's kinda sad huh? oh wait, i saw him. but we didn't really talk or anything. oh well! i don't think he reads my blog. if you are then HULLO! [don't know what else to say]

oh man~ look at timmy.
okay, geil, this is proof that i really looked like you in time past,
only thing i had small slitty eyes. -_-"

cute huh? this is why i want a didi.this is also why i wanna didi.

i was a stunted kid with stubby limbs. amazing.

AT SENTOSAAAAAA.

everyone mistook me for a boy. and tim was a greedy baby.

tim and my mom's dad, gong gong. tim's cakes
are always fancier than mine, pfft...

THE END LAH. X)

BIG BIG NEWS! yes, great news! i've reached my goal! i actually did it!

i can touch my toes. hee~

PRAY FOR GRANNY LEH. the tubey thing in her arm has complications. short explanation: her kidneys failed long ago so she can't expel toxins by peeing so she goes for dialysis where they suck her blood out from her arm, filter it with an imitation kidney, and pump it back in. they fitted a rubber thingy in her arm so they could poke it and sick the blood out from there every time instead of poking her actual vein. the rubber thingy is spoiled [i think] and her arm has a bulbous lump on it now but apparently she can still continue dialysis. she went to SGH just now. her next appointment is this sunday. they may need to replace/repair that thing, which they just did IN JULY or sometime recent like that. anyway granny is kinda clueless and making up her own simpler theories regarding the bulge. most importantly i hope she fights on like always. :) it helps when she's optimistic. she'd be busier fighting with the nurses rather than obsessing with death, like some old people do when they're sick.

sorry, that explanation wasn't exactly short. heh.
I(L)DADDY&MOMMY&TIMMY&GRANNY&BRAN&

TITI&MEIMEI&B.E.

just for the record. ;D
Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

it's never fun to get scolded or told off by older people, but sometimes it's worse coming from people our own age. still, if constructive correction is given in love, it's good to remember this verse and swallow it in. on the other hand, if a friend just wants to quarrel with you all the time over silly things, that's a different story. another thing i got from the vesre is that if your so called friend is always patting you on the back saying it's okay when you're not doing right, well then he's actually your enemy.

i kinda realized that those faithful wounds only come about when people are close or know each other very well. like, we never confront hi-bye friends about their faults or wrongdoings. so i think it's safe to say, that verse is a test of true friendship. quote from mommy who quoted someone else," familiarity brings contempt."

aza. fighting!
I WENT TO GEIL'S HOUSE LEH. think the parents wanted to talk about homeschooling, so while they did that, we children just chilled in the rooms. there are like tons of photos there [compared to my house] and we looked at them and talked about them and somehow the conversation topics varied to some totally unrelated stuff. but it was fun. :) and they saved pizza for us! and roy actually SPOKE! haha. X) marc was cute lah, adding salt and pepper in our conversations.

pray for sis. Gema. she's very pregnant!

today bran puked on the sofa and ate it back up. that's good but grosse. and i woke up with a sore throat. =( somebody invent a vaccine for sore throats can?

aye, today was nice. not that other days aren't, just saying...
the message in church was about SINNNNNN. yes i do have some things to work on. =( anyway i went to meet rachel. it's been like what, 3 weeks? in MBC i'd never not seen raye for 3 weeks. now it's normality. sad, but i can't really do anything about it! holidays are coming, so maybe that will bring a change. maybe we can both save some money and have a proper outing where we actually buy things. we got to talk ALOT [to me] about all sorts of stuff. hmong reminiscence was hilarious. we ate at BK and walked around NP for fun, plus it's become our tradition. saw some nice things but i was out of money.
sher is in china still (i think?). don't dare to message her for fear of phone bills, that is, if she's still there.
raye is a nice person. she didn't laugh at me when i sounded weird talking about salvation and stuff. she also remembers everything about hmong [man that was funny.]. she didn't blind me with propelled perfume. <3
oh and i met jieyi and jo too. that was nice. :)

i think i'm going to geil's house later. i think. [YAY. better than staying home.]

been having this feeling like time's passing by SO FAST. it's sunday, then suddenly it's sunday again! i must seriously use my time properly.

thank God two tracting contacts came today! hope they understood what they heard. =) SO ENCOURAGING LAAA.

YATTA !

found a photo on the net... thought i would paint a guy for a change. noticed the photo looked kind of good, nice bushy eyebrows. tadah, this is the painting.
GAHAHA okay seriously, this is timmy! it's a breakthrough for me because two out of three people recognized it as him right off the bat! dad and tim could tell, but granny couldn't, but she's half blind so she doesn't really count. =D after i told her who it was then she started laughing and staring at it. klarka lah. good good, this will be tim's belated present once it dries. =) his eyes are really big when he takes off his specs.

Saturday, October 20, 2007

getting timmy to send me those pictures from yesterday. we had pizza for dinner and ice cream as the cake. [haagen dazs yeah. good stuff.] THEN we, the lee family, went crazy taking family photos. it's our tradition, my birthday, tim's, mom's or dad's. we arrange ourselves in front of that tripod thing and sweat it out and quarrel about lighting. won't post up ALL our pics, just some. :)

confession: i didn't take any photos of pizza dinner. i was busy eating.

:)

i'm doing a painting according to psalms 126:5. :) hopefully it'll turn out nice so i can give it to someone. but to a very conservative person (art-wise) it'd look strange and maybe scary. anyways, if it doesn't look very nice then i'll just stick it up on my wall along with my other prized works. the verse means alot. maybe i'll frame it up. or give it to my mommy or daddy. using oil paint and i only have the primary colors which i bought from china's carrefour in beijing last year, which consist of red, blue, white, black, and yellow ONLY, like a little kid's paint, not even a green! in other words it's hard to get colors like skin color which i use alot since i paint faces. so, when i've saved up enough money, i'll get a full range of oil paint and some nice canvasses! that is, if i haven't spent it all on clothes or shoes. XD

and i'm totally boring you all out. but IT'S OKAY. haha, i'm crazing out. must be overdose of pimple medication...

Psalms 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Monday, October 08, 2007

SATURDAY was a full day! i didn't really get to laze around, but i guess that's a good thing! after teens club we had song practice, then lunch, then daph, s.yunli and i went back to church to wait for tracting. ah, tracting. i realised i wasn't the only one who was rusty at it AND excited about it at the same time. really really thank God for everyone who is super-enthusiastic about sharing the gospel with total strangers. when i was younger, i admit, i was very reluctant to go tracting. the way people look at you like you're a fool with blind faith, the doors slamming and worse of all, the questions you can't answer.. i just hated it. but i was a small girl with the wrong perspective about it all. :) maybe now i really see how much people need the truth. plus, i love my tracting buddy whose chinese is superb. HEEHEE.

thank God for not letting my mind go blank once someone opened the door, and for protecting us from ridiculously ferocious dogs who guard the doors, and for helping us not get discouraged when an angry man scolded us and told us to advertise the gospel in the newspaper [??], and for keeping us safe when weird men in boxers opened the door, but most of all, for the contacts we made who were willing to come to church and even accept Christ! people are so filled with their own opinions today that when someone actually accepts Christ, it's like a miracle, a phenomenon. :)
granny is talking to nobody again. LOL..

I FEEL SICK, as in literally. but the thermometer says i'm not, so perhaps it's a psychological thing. =( wah, the weather is so HOT. i'm sweating pints by the minute. =((

i'm such a complain queen...

Wednesday, October 03, 2007

today my dad went through my english, some stuff he has to mark, and he says my essays were very good! i don't really know if that's true or not though. i must go and check out the standards today. anyway, it occurred to me that i love writing alot, thus i have jotted down JOURNALISM as one of my possibles pursuits, although i don't know a dime's worth about it at all. haha. follow jamie follow jamie! taking WRITING as one of my subjects next year, yes, the whole subject on writing alone, so either i'll like it alot or i'll hate it in the end. i'm crazy. i chose greek as an elective too. just had that same loss of sanity as when i chose french last year. :) maybe i'm overestimating myself. won't die one lah. :D

i realize i'm a coward. i only like doing things i can do very well. if i'm lousy at it then i don't enjoy it. what a flaw.

aiyah it's so hot today lah. when i buy my own house i'll buy a bathtub and aircon! AAAAAAAAAH!

card selling doing well for now. thank God. =)

GRANNY GRANNY. she can't stop talking! but it's okay, i'm not irritated or anything. look! that's her after church asking me to buy rojak.

yesterday i found my favourite blue esprit shirt spotted with black spots because of mixed washing and i was fuming, FUMING mad because people spoke like it was okay and it's just a shirt and i can wear it in the house.
* WHAAAAATTTT?!!* if only they said the same thing when i spoiled their stuff that cost quite alot of money. =( anyway, i managed to control my fiery mouth by going somewhere else and pulling my hair out. figure of speech. sighs... guess i'll just hope the colored bleach thing works. HEART PAIN LAAAAA like waste money liddat. i shall not carry on on the subject, it's taking years off my life.

geil made me a huge pink card. THANK YOO LAH. =D

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS LIKE RIDING UP A HILL ON A BICYCLE WITHOUT BREAKS. so don't stop pedaling! so so so sooo many people have slid down and gone away. AZA. let's not forget what nailed Christ to the cross -- sin. how can we then go back to it? i remind you, you remind me. :)

granny went to church today! GAH, she was so happy. and my card business thing is running again. maybe it's seasonal. :) i have resolved to save the money this time. I WILLL. there is one thing bugging me though, that is that everyone says i'm undercharging and thinks i don't know the art of making money. I DO LAH I DOO i'm just kind and can't look in the face of a friend i'm unjustly sucking money out of SOO, i will raise the prices, but only for working peepol. DEAL? yesss. :D

i want to be more flexible. FLEKSIBOLLL !

going crazy in a cab.
Romans 8:35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

i wanted to msg this verse out yesterday but it was too long. :) read it on wednesday morning in the bible and then i came across it again while i was reading a book titled 'the hiding place' by corrie ten boom. qiao hor? :D i was very encourage by both the verses and the book.

the book's about this lady, corrie, and her family who helped hide jews and do many other things for them during the German occupation in holland. yes, all that suspensing, underground stuff like secret rooms and fake ID papers. the most heartwrenching part to me is when she and family were imprisoned after being caught. the book addresses so many common questions a christian in any kind of trial would ask. anyway, some of her closest family members died in prison but she lived through it all. (her accounts can be quite vivid.) i think she was in her sixties when she finally got out, and she, according to the wishes of her very close sister who died, told of the things she knew God put her through, and helped many, many people who had also been damaged by the war. she died on her 91st birthday.

and now all of a sudden i have thousands of topics for essays flying through my brain. i'll post them up if i ever do them. :)

TADAHHH~YAY this is my first successful painting of a human face! rejoice with me people. :) now i'm in the mood for painting. no, i didn't make this face up in my head. i copied it from a picture, and mind you it doesn't look alike ONE WEE BIT but who cares. HAHA. i beginner level lahhh.

my bloggy is getting stagnant. AIYAH, there're so many things i wanna bloggabout but they always slip my mind. for one..
SUNDAY WAS SWEEET with my two buddy buddies. raye reported that she liked her gift so YIPPEE. we ate mos and joanne treated us to cookies, then we walked around and i offended a man-girl. =| accidentally! and, i got my boots from rachel. :) they fit okay! and i'll find times to wear them. tytyty.

tim's new number is --> 81680434
he got a new plan that's cheaper i think. the old one he was using actually belonged to my aunt. :)

i gotta letter from melodyyyy and i'll reply her as soon as i get stamps.

When life's burdens get so heavy
and it seems I'm all alone,
I cast my care on Jesus
and come boldly to His throne.
For I find His grace sufficient
when His promises I heed.
And His very life He sacrificed,
and He lives to intercede.

He is the Lord of lords, and when He speaks, winds and waves obey.
When Jesus whispers peace be still then darkness turns to day.
And as I'm trusting in my Saviour's Word, doubts and fears all cease.
And beneath the shelter of His wings I'm at rest, in perfect peace.

ANYONG. just came back from song practice, CC touring, and present buying. so fast and it's 5 oclock lah, boo. now i have to make many many cards but there's one problem-- i have no paper! i wanted to but some just now on the way back BUT i had no money. i'm very sad. i'm broker than ever. can one make cards out of toilet paper? *dumb smile*

pics from tooday, after our rapid shopping we sat down for a while and sher dared me eat some weird octopus sushi. come on, if u buy it for me, i'll eat it. but it felt weird in my mouth. :\

came across some verses today that made me think.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Proverbs 20:24 Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?
sometimes i really feel like i don't know why i'm doing things the that i am, especially when it's something falling in the gray catagory, like it's not right but justifiable. even when i'm doing the rightest of things, my motives are usually highly highly questionable. guess only God would know the real reason why we do things. come to think of it, it is really freaky to remember that Someone actually knows our every thought and action, not just because of the nose picking and butt scratching, but more so because of how hypocritical we can be. so, listen to your heart? [the ever so cliche lyrics we hear here and there] rrrright. listen to my heart and i'd end up with a seriously messed up life. no thank you.

the thought that came to mind when i read this one is funny.
Proverbs 20:6 Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?
WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE ALL THE GOOD MEN?
am i to become a miserable spinster? :(
i am so very sad right now because i've failed my french TWICE. must pass it this time man! FIGHTINGG.
yeah see that baby? that's how i look right now. like i'm about to barf on somebody. BLOOOOEAH.

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

HOORAH a earned 2 bucks yesterday from a card. [no harm rejoicing over something small. :)] it's cool earning your own money and using it to make more money.

money is not the root of all evil, HULLO? it's the LOVE OF money. just saying..

thank God that:
-singapore has no real earthquakes or tsunamis or bomb blasts or typhoons. or tigers.
-we are all alive.
-granny is okay.
-the sick people got better.
-bro. bob could keep his job!
-more people are coming to church!
-i have hands to make cards. :)
-i got my spoiled mouse changed, finally.
etcetera etcetera etcetera.

I SO WANT DECEMBER TO COME because i like church camps in malaysia. :))

mommy at her work place. we went there for the open house thing. to support her. haha. EVERYONE there [almost lah] knows i'm homeschooling, and you know lah, it's phenomenal to be a homeschooler in singapore. people wanna see if your IQ low, or if you're an introvert. but anyways, all my mom's colleagues there were mighty nice. :)

1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Charity suffereth long,
and is kind;
charity envieth not;
charity vaunteth not itself,
is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly,
seeketh not her own,
is not easily provoked,
thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things,
believeth all things,
hopeth all things,
endureth all things.
Charity never faileth:
but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

this morning we learned about worrying from matthew 6, and leaving a legacy for the next generation from joshua 4. :) i wonder if i'll ever have kids. i doubt so, you know. *daydreaming*

ONCE AGAIN monday is just around the corner. the week just flies by once it's the weekend! eating leftovers of my dinner now, my parents cooked jap food ya! bento style, haha. everything either in batter or mayo! but now, they are lecturing timmy about something and i am bored.

my eyes are so puffy right now i don't know what to do with them. after teens club i gotta go visit my granma, cause she's been asking for me. she told my mom, tell agnes i become very skinny and sick then she will sure come one. haha.. she's actually alright lah. but anyway, it's only right to go. guess she misses her one and only roommate/kopi maker. :)

my tummy is serioulsy not feeling good, but i don't wanna make a big fuss about it at home. haha. i'm always telling tim to toughen up, so i have to do it myself. bleh. :|

wishlist add-on: i wanna punching bag. big one! MUAHAHA. what's the use of being fit if you don't know how to defend yourself?? *grins.*
