three elephants went out to play
on a spider's web one day
they had such enormous fun
that they called for another elephant to come.

someone sang me that song. forgot who. haha...

--------------------------------------------
some truths on listening to reproof. what a wise man will do and what a fool would do when he gets corrected. i think this is a good reminder to all of us hormone-filled prideful teens, me very included. haha.

Proverbs 8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

Proverbs 10:8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

Proverbs 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

Proverbs 15:12 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.

Proverbs 15:31 The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.

Proverbs 17:10 A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Proverbs 8:33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

Proverbs 9:9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

Proverbs 10:17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.

Proverbs 12:1 Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.

Proverbs 13:18 Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.

Proverbs 15:10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.

Proverbs 15:5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.

Proverbs 15:32 He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.

Proverbs 19:20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

many many times when parents or older people scold us [to correct and teach us] we find it hard to just shut up and learn what we can. we HAVE to justify and defend ourselves. when i really think about it i realize, what would it hurt to just listen and remember that they care? it would hurt my pride, my 'face'. guess the best principle to live by is, if you can learn something from it, just learn. :) easier said than done. haha. this kinda tests if you're really a wise man of proverbs.
