when i heard that i LOLed. explanation: ikan betok is a little fish that can survive out of water for very long. it will flop around and gasp for water for a long time and often manages to wait it out until it can reach water again. i guess what she was referring to was how it looks like it's gonna die but doesn't. what a cute simile right? so descriptive and philosophical and.. original.

I APPLIED, I APPLIED! at LaTrobe! once again my bank account has been sucked of money. processing fee lor. sigh~

so now i wait.

slept late last night. woke up late this morning. settled my application, had lunch, then tagged along with my aunt cos she needed to go to paragon and i needed to go to takashimaya. (car jjang~) got my painting stuff (spend) and had tea with my parents and aunt. it started raining so my parents abandoned their plans and all of us came home. and i just sent bran to the groomers. was embarrassed for bringing such a smelly little once-white dog there. can see the look on the groomer's (ken's) face. like.. "gosh, they really tahan until filthy then bring here to get their money's worth." but i thick skin queen so that's fine.

ken: so usual, botak.
ag: um, short but not botak.
ken: puppy cut?
ag: not so long.
ken: but any shorter will be considered botak.
ag: short but not as short as botak, and.. not as long as puppy cut. *frown+smile cos i know i sound like paris hilton.*

ag: botak lah you know what i mean.

she's doing good today too. seems like she's well enough to be discharged soon? funny. how does she do it i don't understand.

i went to bed really early just now, but i got up and can't sleep now because of some stuff happening at home. decided to blog and drink a huge mug of water cos i'm feeling sick.

apparently timmy didn't get to sleep the whole night last night when he was on duty, so he's gonna come home and collapse later. my art class is canceled for today, and i plan to visit mama.

i go eat egg tart now. dunno from where, just got one reserved for me on the dining table when i got out of the shower.

this baby just came back from the dry cleaner's. i got this together with the black comms ball dress. i love vouchers, without which i would not have been able to get my hands on this. ivory lace/embroidery outside with silk lining. mommy altered the darts for me cos my body is.. alien. talk about vintage, this is gorgeous! even the dry cleaner lady fell in love with it. *fake proud smile*

somebody get married ples so i can wear this out.

a patient came back from dialysis, wheeled in beside mama's bed. she was restrained probably because she was violent or disturbing her wounds, so her hands were bound in the standard restraining mittens.

ag: mama mama, dia mia tangan kena ikat! (mama mama her hands got tied up!)
mama: yalah dia te garo garo. (yalah she scratch scratch.)
ag:nods head.

-silent pause and stare-

mama: dia main boxing... (she play boxing...)
ag: LOLS and repeats joke to mommy.

i'm at it again.
this will be mommy's, for moms' day.

it's still not finished, there're the fingers and hair and ears and never-ending touch-ups left to do. it feels good to be painting again; i get a good smiley kinda feeling that i will now refer to as the painting-feeling, cos i dunno how else to describe it. i wish i had more money to get more stuff, though. it takes a whole lotta cha-ching to do this as a proper hobby, i tell you. so far i've only managed to get black and white paint. the brushes are borrowed from CH (so kind) and my palette, as you can see, is a porcelain plate i secretly stole from my mom's china cabinet. now of course no more secret already. sorry ma, if you're reading this.

i ran into aunty lisa, whom i have not seen in a few years, today while i was out buying stuff for the art class. saw her and family as i was having lunch all by my lonely self. had a little chat and left. it's weird that i'm bumping into old friends quite often these days. good weird, of course. ;)

my goodness. i just watched episode 7 of THREE RIVERS ("the luckiest man") and i am like, tearing up. been watching it on youtube cos i never seem to be able to catch it on SET. too bad the show got canceled. :(

EE (yi yi, my dear aunt) arrived with truckloads of mcdonalds. i ate and fed mama her 'popeye'. she didn't wanna wear her teeth so i had to peel it bit by bit and feed it to her. still, it's good that she ate.

jay's going for wisdom tooth extraction tomorrow AH! take care of yourself. if you need someone to cook porridge for you, you know who to call. (call your mom.) hahahahaha mean aggie.

i have a dinner date with MAMA DEAREST tonight. (you thought who righttt.) my aunt's buying food.. asked if i wanted in or not so of course i said yes. i realize i haven't eaten a burger in AGES because of my braces. the things i have given up for better teeth...

mama said she wanted "popeye" which, i just discovered, means apple pie. (LOL CUTE.)

i'll be giving s. joycelyn's two girls painting and drawing lessons once a week for one month starting this saturday. which would make it like, 5 lessons i think. wonder how it'll be like teaching little girls. less noisy, more fussy? haha, we'll see.

oh, i coincidentally met jia en's parents at SGH on sunday. haven't seen them in 10 years but i could STILL RECOGNIZE THEM. i saw uncle vincent first, then aunty lydia. okay maybe the real reason for my good memory is FB, cos i sorta saw their photos there before. (heh, cheat.) anyway i had a nice chat with them and i really think they are some of the nicest people on the planet.

i was genuinely happy to see them, although i dunno why. maybe it's because i like it when people see how much i've grown and how OKAY i am after finishing homeschooling. you know, that it didn't make me a social misfit as many people falsely prophesied. not them lah, just people.

apparently mama is in bad shape. mom and dad told me yesterday after coming back from hospital. her arm is ridiculously swollen and she's really weak. i'll go see her tomorrow.
